Well, things have been a little busy lately, and I don't think they're going to slow down for a while, either:

I moved from California to the East Coast (Maryland)and started a new job at the end of April. It took more time and effort than I realized to pack and load everything for moving (not to mention cleaning the house afterward), but with the help of a good friend I managed to meet the deadline for the movers to pick up the moving/storage pod on schedule. I then spent about five days driving across the US with two cats in my car. It went pretty smoothly, all things considered, though I wasn't sure who was going to go mad first--me or the cats. :O_o:

I arrived in Maryland on April 27, and started my new job in Washington, DC the next morning. That's going well, though I've so much to learn...!

One little hitch: I'm supposed to be buying a house next Friday, but the seller is trying to get out of the contract. If she succeeds, it'll be a month at least before I can find another home and move into it. I've contacted an attorney, but I won't know for sure if things will go well until later this week. I'm hoping I don't have to do more than I have, but this may go to court--which will take months. Aaahhh...

Anyway, at least I've started a new job and money is coming in instead of going out, and that's a good thing!

Hope you're all happy and well!

Sean

Thanks! I've got my fingers crossed, so hopefully we'll close the contract on Friday. I can't wait to get back to dA (and my own computer!), either! Lots 'o pics waiting for me, too. :D

Sorry to hear about the house, man. Buying a house sucked ass when everything went smoothly :D

Good to hear you're digging your job though. Whatchoo doing?

I work in the office of the Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Energy; I'm a budget analyst. It's actually quite interesting work, though I suppose it doesn't sound that way. :) If it wasn't for all the great people, it would probably suck big time, though. :D

No, maths and I don't see eye to eye... so I can't really imagine budget analysing being particularly interesting. But I know cats that think video games are boring so to each their own I say :D Decent fellow employees can make the worst job much better. I remember back on my Macca's days with fondness due to the other people who worked there.

I suppose the work I'm doing is somewhat important, but in terms of enjoying going to work, it's the people who make it possible to come in every day and actually look forward to it. ... and then there are workplaces that make you look forward to Friday... when you come in first thing Monday. :O_o:
